Distinctions and singing crabs...

Ah yes, the narrative essay has finally returned to my hand. I shall write what my tutor's comments were:

"A sometimes sharply observed, sometimes cloudily muddles, but overall searching respnse to the assignment topic. Bordwellian notions of narrative structure are, in most instances, coherently applied to an early key scene, (well chosen), from "Breakfast at Tiffany's". However, at times, the discussion makes claims about restricted/unrestricted narration that require much more rigorous explanation. Try to work on your written expression. Otherwise, a very good effort."

Yeah. Not feeling too good. I still managed a disctinction, have no freaking clue how, but I did. I'm kind of dissapointed in myself. I knew I could have done better, but ugh. If only I had 500 extra words...

I need 9 more marks out of 50 on the next assignment to pass the course, so I'll be right, but I really want to nail it. I'm really down on myself about this essay...not happy at all.

On the lighter side of things, I purchased "The Little Mermaid" DVD today, so I'm quite happy.

Anyway. Off to bed.
