Tick tock, tick tock.
Tonight's a beautiful night - not a cloud above and the sky is turning a magnificentally diluted shade of purple. It's something like 23C outside.
I found myself wondering today what lies ahead of my finishing university. What path shall I take? Will I work for the Age, the Herald Sun or an obscure publication, like the Middle of Nowehere Gazette? Will I even be in print at all? A girl at work said to me, "So what kind of journalism do you want to do," and I replied "Arts and entertainment," because that's true. But I don't want to work for the rest of my life under someone else's command. I'd like to create even my own publication - a music/arts/entertainment publication with a Christian theme. NOT a corny one like CCM or whatever the heck they're called. A real one, dealing with both the Christian entertainment scene and any issues in the industry. Kind of like Empire, but about all types of entertainment in the Christian arena.
But I think it's just a hope. And yet, it'll never happen if I don't try.
Matt and Chris are soon to arrive - band practice. I'm loving our band at the moment, we're practicing a whole heap of songs to get our library up, whilst creating new ones in the process. Our new stuff is sounding really good - Chris's new song has an Incubus/something else vibe to it. I really like it. Simple, sort of, but haunting.
I think people underestimate fairy tales. If I have time tonight, I'll write an entry on that subject, because it deserves more than five minutes of my time.
Lo, a knock at the door.
