I had written a huge, massive post before, but it got deleted so I'm going to basically write it all again.
I've finished my classes for the year today - yes, I have completed my first year of university. I already know I've passed Communication Law, so that's a feat considering I thought I was going to fail it. I'm pretty sure about my other subjects, too. I don't want to count my chickens, but unless I fail miserably on my last assignment, I don't think I'll have any worries at all...
So I have two years left. Interesting...I should probably start thinking about going for some more work experience placements somewhere. My choices are somewhat limited, though, because the university doesn't give you insurance for places that they have an association with, because they use those for placements in third year. Grrrr. Hopefully the local paper will print some more of my stuff.
So...I'm going to Queensland in December for a week. Should be loads of fun, I'll need a holiday by then - I've taken the time off of work and I've got a good bunch of money saved up. And yeah, hopefully I won't get too burned up there.
In my previous post, I wrote about the Old Testament book of Job and how, somewhat, cliched it has become - but nevertheless, its relevance is still important. It answers so many questions about why God allows suffering, why bad things happen to "good" people - (indeed, every time I write that now, Missina's post comes into mind about the concept of swaying away from original sin.), etc. I think Job is a book that can help a lot of Christians, nay, everyone, in today's society.
That was much worse than my original post.
Oh hey, I'm going to Hoobastank in February - w00tage.
And with that, I'm off to discuss the merits of Ernst Lubitsch's authorship style in "The Shop Around the Corner".
